Southloom Super Premium Balaramapuram Handloom Unakkupaavu Cotton Wedding Pudava Set Mundu with Maroon Temple Border
The handing over of the 'Pudava and Kavani' (പുടവയും കവണിയും) by the groom to the bride is the most sacred of all rituals in a Kerala Hindu Wedding. Everything from the Thread Count of the Pudava, to the Folding is carefully considered while this auspicious piece of Handloom Pudava is woven by expert weaver artists of Balaramapuram.
The 'Chutti' or the arrow like design at the border of the Neriyathu Munthaani and at the lower end of the Mund is also woven as per Hindu customs, which has been around for centuries. You can also find the signature yellow creases which is a symbol of authentic Balaramapuram Handloom. Unlike other Set Mundu the Pudava and Kavani also has a different folding.
